Our Story

Billing with Heart

Helping Hands Billing Solutions was founded on a simple belief: mental health providers deserve a billing partner who truly understands their world — one who treats their practice with the same care and compassion they bring to their clients.

We started because we saw brilliant therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists spending hours wrestling with insurance claims instead of doing what they do best. That felt wrong. So we built a team dedicated entirely to fixing it.

Our Mission

Freeing Mental Health Providers to Do Their Best Work

Our mission is to remove every administrative barrier between mental health providers and the revenue they've earned — so they can spend more time with clients and less time on paperwork.

Compassion First

We chose to work exclusively with mental health providers because we believe in the work they do. Every claim we file, every denial we fight, is in service of a provider who is helping someone heal.

Integrity Always

We operate with complete transparency. No hidden fees, no surprise charges, no shortcuts. You always know exactly what we're doing and why — and we never compromise on compliance.

Partnership, Not Vendor

We don't see ourselves as a service you subscribe to. We see ourselves as an extension of your team — invested in your practice's success and available when you need us.

Results That Matter

We measure our success by yours. Faster reimbursements, fewer denials, more time for patient care — these are the outcomes we work toward every single day.

From the Founder

Why I Started Helping Hands Billing Solutions

"After nearly three decades in healthcare administration — from processing insurance claims to credentialing providers at Inova Health System — I kept seeing the same story play out: talented, dedicated mental health providers burning out not from the clinical work, but from the billing. Denied claims, credentialing delays, compliance anxiety. It was stealing their time and their energy.

Having spent 15 years specializing in mental health and ABA billing, I understood exactly what these providers were up against. So in March 2023, I founded Helping Hands Billing Solutions — the team I wished existed for every clinician I'd ever worked with.

Every day, our work means a therapist gets to spend one more hour with a client instead of on hold with an insurance company. That's what drives us."
